The facility was officially closed in November 1989. It is in no map, no archive, no record. And yet Major Tomáš Vlk has been sent here.
What is CLEARANCE
CLEARANCE is a first-person psychological horror set inside a fictional State Security facility deep in the Jeseníky Mountains. Visually, the game leans into the PS1/PS2 era — vertex jitter, low-res textures, limited palette. The audio is modern: spatial sound, fragments of Czech voice-acting, magnetic tape, silence.
Atmosphere > Action
You have a total of 12 bullets for your service CZ-82 throughout the entire campaign. Every shot is a decision. Most enemies cannot be stopped with force — you have to deceive them, go around them, wait them out.
“I hear them in corridors where nobody is. Kraus smiles. Yesterday he wasn’t at work, but I saw him.” — from the journal of a 2nd shift guard, October 1989
